Terms of Use

1. Introduction and Acceptance

By accessing, browsing, or using PlayoffLabs (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (the “Terms”). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you must immediately discontinue your use of the Service.

PlayoffLabs is an independent, fan-made competition and esports simulation platform. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to Moonton, MPL, or any official esports league, team, tournament organizer, or commercial rights holder. All trademarks, logos, and brand assets referenced on the platform remain the property of their respective owners.

2. Purpose of the Service

PlayoffLabs provides interactive tools for predictions, simulations, standings exploration, schedule visualizations, and tournament bracket mockups. Our services are intended solely for educational, entertainment, discussion, and community engagement purposes.

All generated standings, calculations, probabilities, and bracket pathways are user-created scenarios or simulation estimates. They do not represent official tournament standings, official match schedules, official results, or official league declarations. Users should check official league channels to verify match timings and standings details.

3. Product Beta & Previews

Our product ecosystem consists of varying maturity levels:

• Predict: Pick'em rooms, regular season, and playoff simulator interfaces.
• Bracket: Active previews, waitlists, and concept designs for bracket visualization/generation.
• Fantasy: Closed waitlists, roster mockup drafts, and product concepts at the development stage.

Some features are experimental, preview-only, waitlist-only, or planned for future seasons. We reserve the right to modify, delay, limit, pause, or discontinue any feature, tournament module, or simulator layout at any time, without prior notice.

4. Accounts and User Responsibilities

You may explore match scenarios and simulate brackets anonymously. However, participating in Pick'em rooms, private rooms, or saving custom brackets requires a free PlayoffLabs account.

If you create an account:

• You must maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You are fully responsible for all actions occurring under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate registration information and not impersonate other users or official league coordinators.
• Account sharing, credential distribution, or registering multiple accounts to abuse prediction limits is strictly prohibited.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.

5. Community Features, Pick'em Rooms, and Leaderboards

When you participate in Pick'em Rooms, compete on leaderboards, or share custom bracket outputs:

• Your username, prediction scores, leaderboard rankings, and room participation status will be visible to other users.
• You are solely responsible for any usernames, nicknames, or room labels you create.
• We reserve the right (but do not assume the obligation) to moderate, hide, rename, or delete prediction rooms or display names containing vulgar, abusive, spammy, misleading, or infringing content.
• Room rules and points calculation parameters may change across different seasons, tournament rulesets, or game updates.
• Pick'em Rooms are strictly social and cosmetic. They do not offer cash rewards, cash-out tools, or real-money gambling.

6. No Betting, Gambling, or Financial Advice

PlayoffLabs is strictly a non-gambling entertainment site.

You agree not to use the Service, its match simulations, predictions, or leaderboard data to:

• Facilitate, organize, promote, or participate in any form of sports wagering, esports betting, gambling, match-fixing, or real-money pool wagering.
• Publish, sell, or advertise betting recommendations, odds schemes, or wagering tips representing PlayoffLabs.
• Make high-stakes financial, commercial, or professional decisions.

All predictions and simulations are provided without guarantees. Real-world esports match outcomes depend on athletic performance, team dynamics, patch changes, and matchday variables that cannot be accurately forecasted by code simulations.

7. Paid Products, Passes, Subscriptions, and Top Ups

We may offer voluntary paid access passes, seasonal simulation features, subscriptions, or top ups (for example: Predict Pass, Bracket Pro, or Fantasy Pass).

• Scope of Benefits: Paid passes only unlock the specific digital benefits (e.g. ad-free browsing, additional simulation saves, cosmetic profiles) described at the time of purchase.
• Duration & Expiration: A Seasonal Predict Pass is valid only for the specific tournament season for which it is purchased. It does not guarantee access to future tournament seasons, game editions, or separate product modules.
• Fair Play: Paid items are cosmetic, administrative, or simulation-saving features. They do not influence real match results, prediction points allocation, or leaderboard standing mechanics.

8. Payments, Third-Party Payment Providers, and Support

All billing and payment processing (including voluntary support top ups) are routed through secure third-party platforms (such as Saweria).

By initiating a transaction, you agree that:

• You are bound by the payment provider’s terms of service and privacy policies.
• PlayoffLabs does not process, record, or store credit card details or bank passwords. We only receive basic metadata (transaction status, reference keys, amounts, donor nicknames, dates).
• You are responsible for ensuring your payment information is accurate and authorized.
• Failed, pending, or disputed transactions may delay or result in the suspension of paid benefits or public supporter badge display.

Voluntary Support (Donations): Contributing via Saweria is an optional show of support to keep the independent servers online. Support contributions are distinct from paid subscriptions and passes, do not affect platform prediction rules, and only grant cosmetic recognition (such as a display name and custom message on the public Hall of Fame page).

9. Refunds, Cancellations, and Access Changes

Due to the nature of digital goods and immediate feature delivery:

• All seasonal passes, premium credits, and voluntary support donations are non-refundable once processed, except where required by applicable local consumer law.
• If we launch renewing subscription passes, you are responsible for cancelling your plan before its renewal date via your account settings.
• PlayoffLabs may, at its sole discretion, issue credits or resolving refunds under special circumstances (such as accidental duplicate charges reported to support).

10. Acceptable Use

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited behaviors:

• Violation of Law: Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of local and international laws.
• Impersonation: Falsely claim to represent PlayoffLabs staff, developers, official tournament organizers, esports organizations, or professional players.
• Misrepresentation: Share screenshot outputs or simulation projections while claiming they are official schedules or verified match outcomes.
• Platform Abuse: Exploit design bugs, bypass server-enforced rate limits, manipulate points, spam room lists, or launch DDoS attacks.
• Data Scraping: Use automated bots, scripts, crawlers, or scrapers to extract tournament schedules, database records, match results, or user details without prior written permission.
• Unauthorized Commercialization: Copy, resell, package, or embed PlayoffLabs pages, API endpoints, or simulator tools inside external commercial pages.
• Infrastructure Interference: Attempt to bypass security, tamper with payment status validations, alter analytics tracking, or block platform advertisements.

11. Intellectual Property

All original code, codebase structure, simulation algorithms, user interfaces, stylesheet themes, branding elements, and written text belong to PlayoffLabs or its developers.

Esports league names, team names, official rosters, team logos, and third-party trademarks are properties of their respective owners. We reference them purely for contextual, educational, identification, and information purposes. No sponsorship, affiliation, or partnership is implied.

12. User & Shared Content

You retain ownership of any prediction room titles, custom usernames, or messages you submit. By uploading or submitting content, you grant PlayoffLabs a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, non-exclusive license to display, host, distribute, process, and format your content for the purpose of operating the Service.

We reserve the right to delete or moderate any user content that violates these Terms.

13. Data Accuracy disclaimer

Esports schedules, rosters, and match data are manual translations or derived from public web sources. This data is subject to change by tournament organizers. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or freshness of the schedule and standings displayed. Always cross-reference with official match organizers for match times, locations, and tournament rulings.

14. Ads, Analytics & Privacy

Your use of the platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the platform, you agree to our collection of interaction logs, pseudonymous analytics (Google Analytics, Umami), and the display of supporting advertisements (Google AdSense) on free tiers.

15. Third-Party Links

The Service contains links to external sites (such as donation platforms, surveys, social media profiles, and partner portals). We do not control or endorse, and are not responsible for, the content, legal terms, or privacy conditions of third-party websites.

16. Service Changes & Suspension

We may modify, suspend, limit, or shut down the platform (or any specific tournament simulator) at any time. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to server maintenance, provider outages, firewall blocks, or updates.

We reserve the right to suspend or block your account or IP access if you violate these Terms, engage in behavior that threatens platform stability, or fail transaction checks.

17. No Warranty

THE SERVICE AND ALL ASSOCIATED PROJECTIONS, BRACKETS, DATA, AND FEATURES ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT SIMULATION DATA WILL BE ACCURATE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR FREE OF ERRORS.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PlayoffLabs and its developers, contributors, or host providers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. This includes any loss of profits, data, or reliance on simulation outcomes, arising from your use of or inability to access the Service.

19. Indemnity Clause

You agree to hold harmless and indemnify PlayoffLabs and its developers against any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of third-party rights.

20. Governing Law & Dispute

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. If you have a dispute or issue with the Service, you agree to contact us directly to attempt an informal, amicable resolution. If informal resolution fails, any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with applicable laws and competent jurisdictions.

21. Term Changes

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date indicates the most recent modification. Continued use of the website following changes constitutes your agreement to the updated Terms.
